In this method, the soil is largely a blank canvas—usually a mix of peat moss and perlite that contains little to no inherent nutrition. The grower acts as a chef, mixing precise recipes of liquid mineral salts to spoon-feed the plant exactly what it needs, exactly when it needs it.
This method offers Control. Unlike organic gardening, where amendments take weeks to break down, synthetic nutrients are "chelated" (wrapped in a chemical shell) to be instantly available to the plant's roots. If your plant is hungry, you feed it, and it looks better by tomorrow.

1. The Inert Medium

2. Ionic Absorption

Because you are pouring salts into a container, salt residue builds up over time. Synthetic growers must water until 10–20% of the water drains out the bottom (Runoff). This flushes out old, unused salts and pulls fresh oxygen into the root zone.
