Skywalker Haze Seed Review

Genetics: Original Skywalker (Mazar x Blueberry) x Amsterdam Amnesia Breeder: Dutch Passion Type: Sativa Dominant Hybrid Flowering Time: 9–10 Weeks Difficulty: Moderate (Requires height management) Yield Potential: Very High (550g–650g/m²)

☁️ The Executive Summary

Skywalker Haze is the resurrection of a classic, supercharged for the modern era. In the late 90s, Dutch Passion introduced Skywalker (Mazar x Blueberry), which was an Indica-dominant staple. To create the Haze variant, they took that original Skywalker cut and crossed it with a super-elite Amsterdam Amnesia clone.

The result is a genetic collision that offers the best of both spectrums: the density and berry sweetness of the Blueberry/Mazar lineage, combined with the explosive vigor, yield, and citrus punch of the Amnesia. This is not Skywalker OG (the American kush cut); this is a distinct European Sativa hybrid designed for maximum production and a soaring, energetic high.

Why Grow It? You grow Skywalker Haze if you want Vigor and Citrus Terpenes. This plant grows with terrifying speed. It is a fantastic choice for SCROG (Screen of Green) growers because a single plant can fill a massive footprint. The terpene profile is a loud, aggressive lemon with a sweet berry finish.

🚜 The Grow Journal

Setup:

  • Environment: 5x5 Gorilla Grow Tent.

  • Lighting: 650W High-Efficiency LED (Full Spectrum).

  • Medium: 10 Gallon Smart Pots (Coco/Perlite Mix).

  • Count: 4 Plants.

  • Training: Aggressive SCROG & Topping (Mandatory).

🌱 The Vegetative Phase (Weeks 1–4)

  • Week 1 (Lift Off): Germination is 100%. The seedlings are incredibly fast. By day 7, they are already working on their third set of true leaves.

  • Week 2 (Structure): The Haze dominance is clear. The internodal spacing is wide (2–3 inches). The leaves are thin and serrated.

  • Week 3 (Training): We top early (Node 4). If we don't top, this plant will hit the ceiling. We immediately begin bending the branches horizontal (LST).

  • Week 4 (The Flip): The plants are 20 inches tall and growing an inch a day. We install a trellis net at 24 inches. We flip to 12/12 earlier than we would with an Indica, anticipating the stretch.

🌸 The Flowering Phase (Weeks 1–10)

  • Week 1 (The Stretch): Alert: The stretch is significant (approx 150-200%). We spend 30 minutes daily tucking branches under the net. The canopy fills rapidly.

  • Week 2 (Feeding): She is a hungry Sativa. We ramp EC to 2.2. She eats Nitrogen heavily during the stretch.

  • Week 3 (Pistils): Flowering onset is slightly slower than an Indica. White hairs emerge, but the plant is still focusing on vertical growth.

  • Week 4 (Bud Set): The stretch finally stops. We do a heavy lollipopping (stripping the bottom 30%) because the canopy is so thick that no light reaches the bottom.

  • Week 5 (Aroma): The smell is piercing. It is pure citric acid and lemon zest. It smells "sour."

  • Week 6 (Stacking): The buds form long, running spears (classic Haze structure) rather than golf balls. They are filling in the gaps on the stems.

  • Week 7 (The Berry): As the resin builds, the Blueberry grandparent makes a subtle appearance. A sweet, fruity note mixes with the sharp lemon.

  • Week 8 (Fox-Tailing): Typical of Haze genetics, the buds may start to fox-tail (spire) slightly. This is normal and increases the surface area for trichomes.

  • Week 9 (Ripening): The pistils turn orange. The smell is now very pungent—lemon cleaner and old-school Haze spice.

  • Week 10 (Harvest): We wait for the trichomes to cloud up. We chop at day 68–70. The colas are long and heavy, requiring support from the net to stay upright.

⚖️ The Harvest Report

  • Wet Weight: Massive biomass. The long colas are easier to trim than small popcorn buds.

  • Dry Weight: The 4 plants yielded 2.2 lbs (approx 1,000g). This is a commercial-tier yield.

  • Bag Appeal: High. The buds are Sativa-shaped (slightly airy but large) and covered in silver resin. They look "classic" and smell incredible.

🏁 The Architect's Verdict

Skywalker Haze is the Jet Engine.

It is loud, fast, and powerful. It is one of the best yielding Haze hybrids on the market. If you have the height in your grow room and the patience to manage a stretching Sativa, the reward is a massive harvest of "Daytime" smoke that cuts through fatigue like a laser.

Score: 9.3/10 (Yield + Terpenes) Best For: Sativa lovers, SCROG growers, and those who love citrus flavor profiles.
