Eleven Roses Seed Review
Seed Review: Eleven Roses
Genetics: Sugar Black Rose x Appalachian Kush Breeder: Delicious Seeds Type: 100% Indica Flowering Time: 8–9 Weeks Difficulty: Low (Extremely resistant to pests and mold) Yield Potential: High (600g/m²)
🏗️ The Executive Summary
Eleven Roses is the crown jewel of the Spanish breeder Delicious Seeds. It was created with a singular goal: to improve upon their legendary Sugar Black Rose, which was already one of the most awarded Indicas in Spain.
To do this, they took a clone of Sugar Black Rose and crossed it with an American Appalachian Kush male (likely from Bodhi Seeds genetics). The result is a 100% Indica that defies logic. It grows with incredible vigor, turns stunning shades of autumn red and purple, and tests consistently around 24-25% THC.
Why Grow It? You grow Eleven Roses for the Aesthetics and the Ease. This strain is practically bulletproof. It was bred in the harsh Spanish climate, making it incredibly resistant to mold and pests. But unlike most "utility" strains, the finished product looks like top-shelf exotic weed—dark, resinous, and smelling of metallic fruit and damp earth.
🚜 The Grow Journal
Setup:
Environment: 5x5 Gorilla Grow Tent.
Lighting: 650W High-Efficiency LED (Full Spectrum).
Medium: 10 Gallon Smart Pots (Living Soil).
Count: 4 Plants.
Training: Minimal (Natural Structure is excellent) or light LST.
🌱 The Vegetative Phase (Weeks 1–4)
Week 1 (Establishment): The seeds pop with vigor. The Indica heritage is obvious immediately—broad, dark green leaves.
Week 2 (Structure): Unlike the squat Northern Lights, Eleven Roses develops a central column with long side branches. It looks like a candelabra.
Week 3 (Training): We do light Low Stress Training (LST) to open up the center. We do not top this strain more than once, as it prefers to form large, singular colas on each branch.
Week 4 (The Flip): The plants are uniform and healthy. We flip to 12/12. Resistance to pests is noted; while other plants might attract gnats, Eleven Roses seems to repel them naturally.
🌸 The Flowering Phase (Weeks 1–9)
Week 1 (Transition): Minimal stretch. The plant focuses energy on bud sites immediately.
Week 2 (The Color): This is unique—the leaves often start showing purple hues very early, not just at the end.
Week 3 (Aroma): The smell is distinct. It’s not skunky; it smells like "metallic fruit." Think overripe passion fruit mixed with a copper penny.
Week 4 (Resin): The trichomes are heavy. The Appalachian Kush parentage brings a heavy "grease" to the resin.
Week 5 (Structure): The buds are dense but not rock hard yet. They are forming complex, fox-tailed structures that are typical of high-end Kush.
Week 6 (The Display): By week 6, the plant is a showstopper. The fan leaves turn deep crimson, purple, and nearly black (hence the name "Black Rose" lineage). It is one of the most beautiful plants you can grow.
Week 7 (Hardening): We drop the temperature to 64°F at night to maximize the colors. The buds harden up significantly.
Week 8 (The Flush): We flush. The aroma shifts to a damp, earthy kush smell.
Week 9 (Harvest): We chop at day 60. The speed is impressive for the quality delivered.
⚖️ The Harvest Report
Wet Weight: Heavy, resinous branches.
Dry Weight: The 4 plants yielded 1.7 lbs (approx 780g).
Bag Appeal: 11/10. This is "Instagram Weed." Dark, mysterious purple buds contrasted against bright white trichomes. It looks incredibly exotic.
🏁 The Architect's Verdict
Eleven Roses is the Artist.
It combines the durability of a tank with the beauty of a painting. It is arguably the best "Purple Indica" on the market for growers who want high yields without sacrificing potency. It is a narcotic smoke, perfect for ending the day.
Score: 9.6/10 (Aesthetics + Resistance) Best For: Photography, beginners needing mold resistance, and Indica purists.
