RS-11, or Rainbow Sherbert #11, is the strain that shifted the entire market away from pure Gelato crosses. Bred by the underground legend Deep East (DEO Farms) and launched into the stratosphere by the branding genius of Doja Pak, RS-11 became the most sought-after cut in California in 2021–2022.
The magic of RS-11 is that it solved the "Zkittlez Problem." Everyone loves the taste of Zkittlez, but growers hate growing it (weak stems, low yield). RS-11 captures that sweet, soapy, tropical candy Z-terp profile (from the Pink Guava) and reinforces it with the structural integrity and gas of the OZ Kush. 🌱 The Vegetative Phase (Weeks 1–4)
Week 1 (Establishment): The seedlings are sturdy. The OZK influence adds thickness to the stems early on.
Week 2 (Structure): Leaves are broad and dark. The plant naturally wants to bush out rather than stretch vertically. This is a very "manageable" plant for indoor tents.
Week 3 (Training): We top at the 5th node. RS-11 responds beautifully to topping, sending out multiple even-sized primary branches.
Week 4 (The Flip): The canopy is dense and flat. We perform a heavy defoliation of the large fan leaves to expose the secondary bud sites. We flip to 12/12.
🌸 The Flowering Phase (Weeks 1–9)
Week 1 (Stretch): The stretch is minimal to moderate (about 50%). It is very easy to control. We simply weave the branches through the trellis to organize the spacing.
Week 2 (Pistils): Flowering begins. The plant looks robust and happy. It is not a finicky feeder like pure Zkittlez.
Week 3 (Aroma): The smell starts early—a funky, sour fruit smell. It’s not sweet yet; it smells a bit like rotting guava.
Week 4 (Resin): Frost production begins. The trichomes are sandy and plentiful.
Week 5 (Color): This is where RS-11 becomes famous. The calyxes stay a bright, neon lime green, while the sugar leaves and undersides turn deep purple and black. The contrast is striking.
Week 6 (The Stack): The buds are dense and rounded. They are not huge donkey dicks, but they are solid "nuggets" from top to bottom.
